Join us for the NJHEPS Green Jobs Fair — a statewide interdisciplinary career fair featuring job and internship opportunities related to sustainability, the environment, and climate action. 

 This event is open to employers from all sectors and students and alumni from all academic disciplines and all colleges and universities across the state. 

Registration Information

For Employers

Do you have job and internship positions related to sustainability and climate action?  

 If so, we invite you to host a booth at the NJHEPS Green Jobs Fair. It is a unique opportunity to recruit students and alumni from schools across New Jersey who are highly skilled and passionate about this work.    

Additionally, employers are invited to join us before the fair for “Impacts of AI on Hiring: A Roundtable Discussion with the NJHEPS Eboard” from 10:30 – 11:30 AM in the Student Center Lounge. Discussion points will include: 

How are you using AI in your hiring process?

What changes have you seen since integrating AI into your hiring process?

What recommendations would you give to job seekers given AI-driven changes to recruitment and hiring?

Please note that this session takes place during the employer check-in and booth set up window. Interested employers should plan their arrival and setup time accordingly.

Join the job fair to network with employers offering green career and internship opportunities. This event is open to students and alumni from all academic disciplines and all schools across New Jersey. Walk-Ins are welcome; however, attendee registration is still strongly encouraged.

For Employers

Parking  • All visitors who do not have a Rutgers University parking permit must register their car in advance. The parking registration link will be sent to registrants before the fair. Visitors may park in Lot 26, Lot 30 or the College Avenue Parking Deck.   • Rutgers University permit holders should only park in their designated lots.    Important Dates   • Registration deadline: January 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM • Cancellation deadline with full refund: January 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM • Payment Deadline: January 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM Pricing       Single Booth + 2 Representatives     Non-Profit/ Government   : $150     For-Profit  : $300       All packages include:   • (1) 6x3' Table  • (2) Folding Chairs  • Registration for two representatives • On-site Parking  • Lunch and Refreshments  Event Logistics  Location : College Avenue Student Center Multipurpose Room (College Avenue Campus, Rutgers University- New Brunswick)  126 College Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901    Employer Schedule   • 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Employer Check-in and Setup  • 10:30 –11:30 AM | Optional Event for Employers- Impacts of AI on Hiring: A Roundtable Discussion with NJHEPS Eboard • 12:00 –3:00 PM | Job Fair  • 3:00 – 4:00 PM | Clean Up    Employer Booth Set-Up   Employers may begin checking in and setting up their booths at 10:00 AM. The fair will begin promptly at 12:00 PM, and we advise employers to complete setup by 11:55 AM. The rear loading dock entrance to the student center will be open to bring in supplies from 10:00 AM – 11:55 AM.   Transit Information   • Closest Train Station: New Brunswick Station (0.9 mi)  • Closest Rutgers Bus Stop: College Avenue Student Center Stop  Cancellation and Refund Policy  • Cancellations must be made in writing via email to njheps@gmail.com. • Cancellation deadline with full refund: January 16, 2026 • Cancellations after January 16, 2026, will not be refunded. • Payment Deadline: Payment s must be made in full by January 16, 2026, to avoid a $50 late payment penalty.   Sponsorship Opportunities  We are happy to work with you to create exciting sponsorship opportunities to maximize your employer brand on campus and at the fair. The snow date for the fair will be Friday, March 13, 2026, at the same time. If no information is given, you should assume the campus is open.

For Students

•Where can I find a list of employers attending the fair?  o New employers are registering every day and will appear on the NJHEPS Green Jobs Fair event page. Please check back often to see which new employers have registered.  • What should I wear?  o Although we do not require professional attire for the fair, we do recommend, at a minimum, casual business wear.  • Are students and alumni from all New Jersey schools allowed to attend?   o Yes! While the fair is physically located at Rutgers New Brunswick, it is open to students and alumni from all New Jersey schools.  • I’m not studying environmental science or sustainability; can I still attend the fair?  o Yes! You can incorporate sustainability into any career. No matter what your major, we hope that this event will be a helpful next step in learning how to combine sustainability with the field that interests you.   • Where can I get more updates?  o You can sign up for the NJHEPS newsletter here.
