We are pleased to invite you to a presentation by and discussion with world-renowned environmental activist and award-winning actor Ed Begley Jr. at 1pm on Thursday, June 12 at the Carls Field Center, Princeton University (directions below).

Ed  Begley Jr.'s talk "Managing Energy & Water Usage in the 21st Century," will touch on the critical issues we all face as inhabitants and stewards of this planet.  Turning up at Hollywood events via bicycle, Begley Jr. has been considered an environmental leader in the Hollywood community for many years. He serves on the boards of The Coalition For Clean Air, The Thoreau Institute, and the advisory board of the Union Of Concerned Scientists, among many others. Carl Fields Center is located at 58 Prospect Avenue Princeton, NJ 08540. You can enter the building from either Prospect Avenue or Olden Street.


There is limited metered parking located near the building as well as pay lots in the town of Princeton. We recommend parking in the free visitor parking lot 21 and taking the free campus shuttle.

Directions to Parking Lot 21:

Heading north on Washington Road (away from Route 1), turn right onto Faculty Road. (If you are heading south on Washington Road from Nassau Street/Route 27, turn left onto Faculty Road instead.)

After passing Jadwin Gym, turn left on FitzRandolph Road and then take the first left turn into Lot 21.

From Lot 21, you can take the East Line Tiger Transit bus to the Carl Fields Center. If you let the bus driver know that you are going to Carl Fields Center they will make sure to let you off at the correct stop.

Make sure to give yourself an adequate amount of time to get to central campus. It may take anywhere between 10-20 minutes depending on the bus.


If you prefer to walk, the most direct path to take is Fitzrandolph Rd, away from Route 1. Turn left on Prospect Ave and Carl Fields is located on the corner of Prospect and Olden Street, 58 Prospect on your right hand side. This is about a 15-20 minute walk (.6 mi).
