For 25 years Helen Ross has been a leading expert and champion for authentic Aboriginal participation in Australian environmental management. An expert on social impacts of modern life for indigenous and rural peoples, she is also a leading expert on growth impacts in Southeast Asia and resilience issues for Pacific Islands. Her current work is on community resilience, a major topic in New Jersey and New York in the face of Sandy and Irene. Ross's work bridges social and physical resilience and explores the relationships between sustainability and resilience. A timely presentation from a world-recognized expert
