On February 4th, the Rutgers Initiative on Climate and Society and co-sponsors will host a day-long visit by Bill McKibben, one of the country’s foremost environmental writers and a globally prominent climate change activist (350.org).  Following on his hard-hitting piece in Rolling Stone and his 20-city tour recently covered in the New York Times, McKibben will challenge the Rutgers campus and wider public to

Some public parking will be available on College Avenue Campus - Lots 2630, and College Ave Deck.

McKibben will have many opportunities to interact the Rutgers community during his visit: a faculty lunch, a workshop with undergraduate writers hosted by the English Department, and a dinner with student leaders.

On February 6th at 8PM in the Cook Campus Center, members of the Rutgers University Debate Union will continue the discussion withConfronting Climate Change: What should RU do? - a public debate on whether the University should divest from fossil fuels to combat climate change."
