The New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability (NJHEPS) is a consortium of 40+ higher education institutions in New Jersey, ranging in size from Princeton and Rutgers to most state universities & county colleges, as well as private institutions such as Seton Hall, Georgian Court and Stevens Institute of Technology. The Partnership’s mission is to promote the implementation and integration of sustainability into higher education in New Jersey and beyond. We sponsor seminars and conferences to share best practice and to promote sustainability in campus operations, curricula, and local communities throughout New Jersey. Our goal is to maintain NJ’s leadership role in sustainability, by education, example, and reaching out to the various stakeholders in New Jersey. NJHEPS operates under the guidance of the New Jersey Presidents’ Council, which encompasses the presidents of all higher education institutions in the state of new Jersey. We are located in the York Center for Environmental Engineering and Science on the campus of, and operate under the financial supervision of, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, a NJHPS member institution. NJHEPS is funded through membership dues, grants, corporate sponsorships and contract work.
